About the Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society

The Central of Georgia Railway Historical Society, Inc., is a nonprofit 501(c)3 educational organization incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia. Its purpose is to encourage and engage in research and study of the history and operations of the Central of Georgia Railway and their predecessors, successors and affiliates; to publish and disseminate information on these topics; to encourage and engage in the collection, cataloguing, restoration, maintenance, and display of materials and artifacts relating to these railroads; to promote knowledge and understanding of these railroads among Society members, publishers, the model railroad industry, and the general public; and to promote a mutually beneficial relationship among its members.
